Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
My Story
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer about four years ago. I still remember the day my parents told my sister and I. It was a scary day because at the time we didn't know what stage her cancer was, or what the treatment plan looked like yet. Thankfully my mom only had stage I, and she is now able to call herself a survivor.
Throughout this journey, I learned many things. The most important being that everything happens for a reason, and I have come to believe that my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer so that we can now go out of our way to help others along this very same journey.
For this reason I decided to work on a project in which I would gain support and donations for my family's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure team.

How to Get Involved
There are two simply ways to help join the fight to end breast cancer. The first being join my race for the cure team, make your own team, or register as an individual. A second way would be to donate to Susan G. Komen whether it be a team donation or just an individual donation. The money raised and donated to Susan G. Komen helps to fund breast cancer research, educate people about breast cancer, and support women and men who have the fewest resources.
